Toronto is a vibrant city with several outstanding psychotherapists. Therefore, it is even more important that you work with the person that feels like the right match for your values and sense of comfort. WHAT IS THE HOURLY RATE?

INDIVIDUAL THERAPY: The hourly rate ranges from $300 to $380 an hour. This sliding scale is based on insurance and financial possibilities.

COUPLE & FAMILY THERAPY: It is recommended that you book 2 hours for all couple and family therapy sessions.

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER I BOOK?

Once you book your session, you will receive a follow-up e-mail with the address and most general information you might need depending on the modality of your session: Either face to face or online.

WHEN DO I PAY?

For either Individual or couple therapy, you can pay immediately after your session. The counselling invoice you will receive upon payment will include all the licensing information for you to use either on your insurance claim or in your income tax return.

For Mindfulness groups, you will pay upon registration. If you are paying in installments, you will pay your first installment at the time of registration and the rest in fortnightly installments.  You can also request insurance invoices if you register for an MBSR or MBCT group.

WHAT PAYMENTS ARE ACCEPTED?

For either Individual or couple therapy in Canada, you can use e-transfer to pay for your fees. For international services, we will provide you with a credit card link so you can pay in Canada through your card.

CAN I CANCEL MY SESSION WITHOUT PAYMENT?

If you decide to cancel your appointment within 48 hrs, you will get an immediate refund.
No cancellation refunds are possible within less than 48 hours.

CAN I USE MY INSURANCE?

You might be covered by Extended Health Care Benefits if you or a family member you live with has coverage from a workplace. Most insurance companies in Ontario cover my services under the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers.

CAN I CLAIM THIS FEE IN MY INCOME TAX (IN ONTARIO)?

In Ontario, my fees are considered medical expenses, and they can be claimed in your income tax. Enquire with your accountant to find out more information about the percentage that you can claim in your income tax, which depends on your income.
